This waterfall flows from the Chalakudy River which has its origin in the Western Ghats. It is known as the Niagara Falls in India for its beauty. It can be seen in several places; from the road which crosses through the forest and mixing down into the deep river. At the main entrance, you have to buy an entry ticket to view the waterfall from the top.

Barachukki Falls, Mandya, Karnataka

It is one of the best waterfalls in South India and is situated on the island of Shivanasamudra. From the height of 200 ft. When Shivanasamudra Waterfalls divide The Barachukki Falls and The Gaganachukki Falls are formed. These waterfalls lie opposite each other. On the eastern side, Barachukki Falls is situated. It was named after the wife of M.D.Cockburn, the man who cultivated the coffee in Kotagiri. It falls from the height of 250 ft. From the Dolphin’s Nose Viewpoint you can see the whole waterfall. Iruppu Falls, Kodagu District, Karnataka

It is located in the Brahmagiri Range and is also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls because it is a tributary of Kaveri which emerges from these falls.
